Aloha, Dear Ones,

For over fifty years, one truth has guided my life: We need to give and receive love in order to sustain a good life, and we need to give and receive unconditional love in order to thrive. That truth became the foundation of my life and the reason for creating Living Radiance. Our motto is simple: Living to Love and Loving to Live. This is not just poetic language, this is our daily practice. Living by this truth that has sustained me since we made this commitment, so I share it with you now with great humility and awe.

we grew together and raised (legally adopted, guardianship, left on our doorstep) over 40 children who had experienced profound abuse and trauma. Our children gave us the living laboratory for unconditional love.

The Vision

We are launching a capital campaign to raise up to $5 million to create the Living Radiance Home/Center on Kauai, a home where we will be living proof that there truly is a different way to live. This is not theory or ideology; it is a tangible demonstration that trauma can be transformed, families can heal, and communities can thrive. The Home/Center will be a landing pad for anyone ready to experience unconditional love, a creative refuge for where people gather to eat, play, create, sing, and heal together. Here, family is chosen, self-expression is free, and life unfolds with integrity, intention, compassion, and connection.

This campaign will secure the land and build the facilities to make this permanent, sustainable, land-based community — a living legacy and proof that a radically compassionate way of life is possible. While this may sound like a wild dream, it is far from impossible — in fact, it has already happened. Miraculously, benefactors have supported us in purchasing two homes, and facilitating four nonprofits, including S.O.U.L. — School of Unconditional Love. We have previously operated in Oregon, California, and Maui, and are ready to grow and continue transforming lives in Kauai and beyond.

An Invitation

For decades, this work has been sustained by faith and the generosity of the community, and now it is ready to take root in the world. We invite visionary partners — individuals, foundations, corporations, and community leaders — to help bring the Living Radiance Home Center into physical form. When we were raising our children, a sign hung on our front door: “All ye who enter here, prepare thyself to be part of a miracle.” Today, that invitation extends to you. In a world often fractured by chaos and violence, you have the opportunity to experience a miracle.

If you believe that love can be practiced, that healing can be taught, and that a different way to live is possible, join us. Together, we will become living proof: living to love, loving to live.

You are not here only to support but to be part of this miracle. Magic happens when Love is our bottom line. Love wants to support Love.

I only ask that you contribute whatever lights you up. Of course, that could be financial, but it could also be time, energy, expertise, laughter and prayer.
